Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapy

Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapy

Rehabilitation therapy is a specialized branch of animal medicine focused on alleviating pain, restoring strength and mobility and improving function.

Often compared to human physical therapy, it combines targeted exercise therapy along with integrative modalities such as massage, cryotherapy, stretching, TENS, NMES, therapeutic ultrasound, laser therapy, etc to help reduce pain, promote healing and restore mobility and function.

Ideal for senior pets, pets recovering from injuries or surgeries, pets with neurologic disease that affects their mobility and those experiencing chronic orthopedic conditions such as hip dysplasia or osteoarthritis.

While this service is most commonly performed in the pets home, exercise therapy sessions can also be performed virtually.
